In five days time i will be out of my sling and back on the open roads, its time to say goodbye to the indoor bike in the gym with the seat size so big it caters for all possible types (sizes) of riders. While I have enjoyed riding in the gym because of the Power readings it gives out (Apparently they are quite accurate) I have missed being on my road bike around the cape town roads. Absa cape epic rider information evening

Dad and I went to the Epic rider evening on tuesday night at Cape Union Marts giant store in Canal Walk.
It was nice to get a look at the kinds of people who will be riding alongside us next year and I can say for sure that had I walked past one of them in the street I wouldn't even believe they ride bikes! There we a couple of different people speaking at the event which was quite nice to give different points of view on the race. A guy from polar training was there and he gave a lot of tips ... So I finally got my website up and running! good news,
As you know by now I plan on riding the Absa Cape Epic next year (2012) in order to raise money for the red cross childrens hospital in Cape Town, were I was treated for an osteo sarcoma in my tibia.If you look at my legs it is quite a wonder that I can walk and run, let alone plan on riding 900km in 8 days in what is without a doubt one of the toughest events, on and off the bike, in the world.At the moment my training is going alright, I...
